As I opened my new journal to write this, there was a practice plan in the front cover from my son's first day of practice from 3rd grade football.

At first I didn’t know what it was or how it got there.  I have had this notebook for a number of years, but had never used it.

What struck my eye was the header at the top of the page, Day One, Week One.  I have been putting off starting my blog and decided there is no time like the present.

I had to make a decision that today would be my Day One.

I have continually felt called to start my blog and to share thoughts and insight that may help or inspire someone to be the best version of themselves.  I always say get comfortable being uncomfortable and now is better than never.

Proverbs 16:3 says “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plan.”

If you have something you are wanting to do, a goal you have been putting off, or a dream that you let others or yourself talk you out of, I encourage you to take action.  Start with one small step.

Let TODAY be your Day One.  Let today be the day you take the first step, perform your first rep and move closer to the person God has called you to be.

Day One is powerful.  It marks the beginning of something real. It becomes real going from an idea or a thought to a decision and action.  It’s an action to trust God’s plan for you and choose what you want most over what is comfortable right now.

Everything we do or don’t do has costs. You have to put your trust in the Lord and start to move down that path.  Knowing that he will guide you through the ups and downs of your journey.

Don’t wait for permission.  Don’t wait for motivation.  Don’t wait for the stars to align.

Just Go!

Let TODAY be your DAY ONE!
